The honest answer is: it depends on how long the clean takes. With TidyGo you pay by the hour, per cleaner, and you see the full price before you pay. This guide explains our prices, how many hours different homes usually need, and how to keep the cost down.

TidyGo's hourly prices

Type of cleanPrice per cleaner, per hour
Normal clean (homes, offices and shops)£18
Deep clean (including end of tenancy)£22
Restaurant or café: normal clean£20
Restaurant or café: deep clean£24

The total is simple: hourly price × hours × number of cleaners. There are no hidden extras, call-out fees or booking fees on top.

How many hours will my home need?

These are typical times for one cleaner. Your home may need more or less, depending on its size, how much stuff is out and when it was last cleaned.

Worked examples

  • 2-bedroom flat, normal clean, 3 hours: 3 × £18 = £54
  • 2-bedroom flat, deep clean, 5 hours: 5 × £22 = £110
  • 3-bedroom house, normal clean, 4 hours: 4 × £18 = £72
  • 3-bedroom house, deep clean, 6 hours with 2 cleaners (3 hours each): 2 × 3 × £22 = £132, finished in half the time
  • Small café kitchen, deep clean, 4 hours: 4 × £24 = £96

Two cleaners cost the same as one cleaner working twice as long. You just get your home back sooner.

What makes a clean take longer?

  • Size: more rooms and bathrooms take more time.
  • Condition: a home that hasn't had a thorough clean for a while needs a deep clean first.
  • Kitchens: greasy ovens, hobs and extractor hoods take time. Kitchens with greasy equipment always need a deep clean.
  • Clutter: cleaners can clean surfaces much faster when things are put away.
  • Access: parking, stairs and keys all add time if they're not sorted in advance.

How to keep the cost down

  1. Start with one deep clean, then switch to normal cleans. Once your home has had a full reset, regular visits are quicker.
  2. Book a regular cleaning plan. Weekly, fortnightly or four-weekly plans are 5% cheaper per clean when you pay monthly, or 10% cheaper when you pay for the year. A 3-hour normal clean on a yearly plan costs £48.60 instead of £54.
  3. Tidy before the cleaner arrives. Put away clothes, toys and dishes so the time goes on cleaning, not tidying.
  4. Tell us exactly what you need. Add a short description and a few photos when you book. Your cleaner will know what to focus on.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

No. You pay for the clean when you book, by card. You can cancel for free up to 24 hours before your clean and get your money back in full.

The bottom line

For most London flats, a normal clean costs between £36 and £72, and a deep clean between £66 and £132. See the deep cleaning and regular cleaning pages for what each includes, or check the areas we cover.
