Privacy policy

Last updated: [date]

This policy explains how [Company legal name] ("TidyGo", "we", "us") uses your personal data when you use our website, book a clean, buy from our shop or apply to work as a cleaner. We are the data controller. [Company number, registered address, ICO registration number.]

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password (stored securely by our login provider).
  • Booking details: the address to be cleaned, dates, access notes and your booking history.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Shop orders: delivery name and address, and what you bought.
  • Cleaners: application details, service areas, availability, identity and right-to-work documents, and payout details (held by Stripe).
  • Messages you send us, and reviews you leave.
  • Technical data: basic logs needed to keep the site secure.

Why we use it

  • To provide our service: taking bookings, matching you with a cleaner, taking payment and delivering orders (contract).
  • To check cleaners' identity and right to work (legal obligation and legitimate interests in keeping customers safe).
  • To send service emails such as confirmations and updates (contract).
  • To handle complaints, prevent fraud and improve our service (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

  • Your cleaner: once a cleaner accepts your booking they see your name, phone number, address and notes for that job only.
  • Service providers who process data for us: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and file storage), Resend (email) and Vercel (hosting). [Check and list your actual providers and where they store data.]
  • Authorities where the law requires it.

We never sell your personal data.

How long we keep it

We keep booking and payment records for [6] years for tax and accounting purposes. Cleaner documents are deleted [12] months after a cleaner leaves. You can ask us to delete your account at any time. We'll remove what we don't need to keep by law.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or move your data, or object to how we use it, by emailing hello@tidygo.net. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Cookies and storage

We only use what's needed for the site to work: a login cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage to remember your shop basket. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. [Update this if you add analytics.]
